Clinic and healthcare flooring in Singapore: where SPC fits, and where it does not
Updated October 2026 · Enoch Surfaces, SingaporeSPC suits the dry, low-traffic parts of a clinic fit-out: consult rooms, doctors' offices, admin areas and staff rooms. It is dry-laid with no curing time and SGS chamber testing found no TVOC. Formaldehyde: not detected in independent air-emission chamber testing (ISO 16000). It is not a seamless, welded sheet floor, so wet areas, treatment rooms with strict infection-control specs and areas needing a fire classification need another product.

Where SPC can work
- GP and specialist consult rooms with normal footfall
- Doctors' offices, admin and records rooms
- Staff rooms and back-office areas
- Wellness, physiotherapy-office and aesthetic consult rooms (dry use)
Where to use something else
Click-lock planks have joints. Operating theatres, procedure rooms, sluice rooms, toilets and any space your infection-control or MOH licensing consultant says needs a seamless, coved or welded floor should use sheet vinyl or another specified system. Busy waiting areas and corridors with trolleys and wheelchairs see more wear than our 0.3 mm wear layer is designed for.
What has been tested
SGS tested the range in 2025-26: castor chair at 25,000 cycles with no visible damage (ISO 4918), dynamic coefficient of friction (EN 13893) pass, residual indentation pass, and chemical safety including VCM pass, heavy metals not detected and TVOC not detected; formaldehyde: not detected in independent air-emission chamber testing (ISO 16000).
We do not currently hold Singapore Green Label (SEC), SGBC certification, or a fire classification report for this range. If your project needs Green Mark points, an SCDF fire-code classification or a specific slip rating, tell us before you specify. See testing and compliance.
Fit-out programme
Clinics often renovate between closures. Click-lock SPC has no wet trade and no curing time, and can float over sound, flat existing tiles, which helps when a unit must reopen quickly.

Questions and answers
Is SPC flooring suitable for clinics?
For dry, low-traffic rooms such as consult rooms, offices and staff areas, yes. For wet rooms, procedure rooms or anywhere a seamless welded floor is required, no.
Is SPC flooring hygienic?
The surface is non-porous and easy to wipe, but planks have joints. Where your infection-control spec requires a seamless floor, use sheet flooring instead.
Does Enoch SPC have a fire rating?
We do not currently hold a fire classification report for this range. Tell us your project requirement before you specify.
