F&B flooring in Singapore: where SPC works and where it does not
Updated October 2026 · Enoch Surfaces, SingaporeSPC can work in low to moderate traffic dining rooms, private dining and cafe seating. It is not the right floor for commercial kitchens, wet prep areas or very busy front-of-house, which need a thicker wear layer or a different system. Our planks passed SGS slip-resistance (EN 13893) testing.
Good fits
- Private dining rooms and quieter cafe seating
- Dessert bars and tea rooms with moderate footfall
- Short-lease concepts that need a floor that lifts out
Poor fits
- Commercial kitchens and wet prep: heat, grease, standing water and heavy trolleys
- High-turnover front-of-house with outdoor grit
- Areas hosed down during cleaning
Slip and water
Our SGS report includes dynamic coefficient of friction testing to EN 13893 (pass). If your landlord or consultant specifies a particular slip rating, send it to us and we will check what our report covers. The core is highly water-resistant, but standing water should be wiped because it can reach the joints.
Our honest advice
Tell us the layout and covers per day. If SPC is wrong for an area we will say so rather than sell it. See F&B sector page.
Prices are Enoch Surfaces prices as of October 2026 and exclude delivery (charged at cost). Regulations change; confirm current rules with the relevant authority or your QP.
