Hotel and serviced apartment flooring: SPC for guest rooms
Updated October 2026 · Enoch Surfaces, SingaporeGuest rooms, suites and serviced apartments are where SPC performs best in commercial use: residential-type traffic, frequent mopping and pressure to reopen rooms fast. Use the 6.5 mm acoustic build where impact noise between floors matters.
Why SPC suits guest rooms
- Highly water-resistant core for housekeeping and spills
- No waxing or resealing; sweep and mop
- Dry click-lock install: rooms back in inventory quickly
- Individual planks can be replaced if damaged
Acoustic choice
The 6.5 mm build is a 4.5 mm SPC core with a 2 mm IXPE layer bonded underneath, reducing impact sound to the room below. If a separate acoustic underlay is specified, the 5 mm build can be used with it.
Phased refurbishment
Hotels renovate floor by floor. We sell by the box, so you can buy per phase from the same production standard. Tell us the phasing and we plan deliveries.
Where not to use it
Lobbies, ballrooms, corridors with luggage trolleys and F&B outlets see more wear than a 0.3 mm wear layer is designed for.

Questions and answers
What flooring is best for hotel rooms?
For guest rooms, SPC with an acoustic layer is a practical choice: water-resistant, fast to install and easy to clean.
Is SPC suitable for hotel corridors?
Busy corridors with trolleys need a thicker wear layer than our 0.3 mm range; ask us first.
