How to choose an SPC flooring supplier in Singapore: 8 checks
Updated October 2026 · Enoch Surfaces, SingaporeAsk any SPC supplier for current third-party test reports, the wear layer and core spec in writing, a published price per sqft, box coverage, delivery terms and what certifications they do and do not hold. A good supplier tells you where their product is not suitable.
The 8 checks
- Test reports. Ask for the report number, lab and date, not just a logo. Ours: SGS SHIN2512003563CM02_EN (physical, 2026-02-12) and CANPC25032225203 (chemical, 2026-02-09).
- Wear layer. Get it in mm. Ours is 0.3 mm with UV coating, suited to homes and low to moderate commercial traffic.
- Core. Ask what the core is made of and whether it uses recycled regrind. Ours is 100% virgin-grade plastic with limestone.
- Price per sqft. Compare material-only prices like for like. Our prices are ~S$1.55 (5 mm), ~S$1.90 (6 mm) and ~$1.60 /sqf · Promotional price (6.5 mm acoustic), published on the site.
- Box coverage. Check m² per box so quantities are right. 5 mm: 2.20 m²; 6 mm and 6.5 mm: 1.76 m².
- What is not claimed. Ask directly about Green Label, SGBC and fire classification. We do not currently hold these for this range and say so.
- Delivery and order terms. Ask how delivery is charged and confirm order quantities and lead time in writing. Ours: islandwide delivery charged at cost, fee confirmed before payment.

Red flags
- Price quoted only after a site visit, with no material-only figure
- Certificates without report numbers
- No answer on wear layer thickness
- Claims that one product suits every room, including wet and high-traffic areas
