How to choose a commercial vinyl flooring supplier in Singapore
Updated October 2026 · Enoch Surfaces, SingaporeAsk five things before you quote: who makes the board, what wear layer and core it has, which test reports cover that exact build, the confirmed delivery lead time, and the true price per sqft including box rounding and delivery. Enoch Surfaces sells 5 mm SPC at ~S$1.55/sqft.
1. Manufacturer or trader?
Many Singapore suppliers buy finished planks from third-party factories and rebadge them. That is not wrong, but it means the supplier relays specifications instead of controlling them. Ask for the factory name on the test report and whether the supplier sets the core formulation.
2. Wear layer and core
The wear layer decides how a commercial floor ages. Match it to traffic:
| Space | Typical wear layer | Enoch 0.3 mm |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel rooms, serviced apartments, student rooms, show flats | 0.3 mm | Suits |
| Private offices, meeting rooms | 0.3 – 0.5 mm | Suits light-use rooms; ask us |
| Busy corridors, reception, kitchens | 0.5 mm | Ask us first |
| Retail high-street, F&B front-of-house, public corridors | 0.7 mm | Not recommended |
Core matters too: ask what the core is made of and whether it uses recycled regrind, which can mill less precisely and let click joints open. Our core is 100% virgin-grade plastic with limestone.
3. Test reports that match the build
A report only covers the sample tested. Check the report number, date, lab and that it names the same product type. Our SGS physical report SHIN2512003563CM02_EN covers abrasion, castor chair, slip (EN 13893), dimensional stability, indentation and strength; the chemical report CANPC25032225203 covers VCM, heavy metals and VOCs. See testing and compliance.
4. Certifications your tender needs
Government, Green Mark and many corporate tenders ask for Singapore Green Label or SGBC certified products, and some ask for fire classification reports. We do not hold these for our current range, and we say so up front. If your tender needs them, a certified product is the right choice.
5. Stock, MOQ and real price
| Build | Price per sqft | Box |
|---|---|---|
| 5 mm | ~S$1.55 | 10 planks, 2.20 m² (23.63 sqft) |
| 6 mm | ~S$1.90 | 8 planks, 1.76 m² (18.9 sqft) |
