Many buyers compare colour first. A better first question is whether the core, lock profile and room condition match daily use in Singapore homes.
The simple explanation
SPC means stone plastic composite. It is usually built as a rigid plank with a printed design layer, wear layer, SPC core and backing layer.
The wear layer protects the printed finish from normal surface wear.
The SPC core gives the plank its rigid body.
The click-lock edge lets planks connect without glue in many installations.
What SPC is not
SPC should not be judged only by the words waterproof, thick or premium. Those words do not prove the lock strength, core toughness or installation fit.
A hard sample can still be brittle at the lock edge.
A beautiful colour does not prove long-term performance.
A quote should include room condition and installation details.
